The West Midlands Music Board (WMMB) is inviting all musicians and music executives working in the West Midlands Region to attend a free conference that will bring together influential creatives from across the UK to Birmingham to discuss and demonstrate how music creators can enhance their presence in live performance and online.

The event will be hosted by Nikki Marie, Creative Producer at Punch Records and will include an exclusive performance by Birmingham singer/songwriter, Pheleba.

WMMB was established in May 2021 as a collective strategic voice to advocate for, compile data on and lead the local music sector and the Write the Future: Music Creator Conference will be its first public event.

Meta to provide marketing insights

WMMB has partnered with Meta (parent company of Facebook/Instagram/Quest) to deliver the conference where its team will provide an overview on music marketing best practice across Facebook and Instagram.

Nick Reed, CEO of B:Music, the charity responsible for Symphony Hall and Town Hall, Birmingham’s two iconic concert halls, and chair of WMMB, said:

“The West Midlands Music Board is delighted to be partnering with Meta to present Write the Future, a chance for the region’s music sector to come together to be inspired, to learn and to network.

“Aimed at artists, managers, promoters and more, delegates will be able to learn practical tips and tricks for increasing reach on Meta’s platforms in order to get seen and heard. It is a rare chance to hear directly from the experts.”

The Write the Future: Music Creator Conference will take place on Tuesday 28 June from 2pm-6pm at the Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space, Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
